How to make an announcement in Wordpress

I wanted to find a way to keep one post at the top of the home page while still having my other posts behave as usual, going from newest to oldest. I did not want to mess with loops, I just wanted something simple that could just be installed and be up and running. I found Lester Chan’s WP-Sticky plugin, and it’s exactly what I wanted. It even gives the option to make a sticky instead of an announcement. It’s a nice plugin. I’ll be using it on my Fun, Crafts and Recipes blog for the contest I’m running there for the month of December.

    Thanks Val! I knew I could count on you to have my plug in answer! Now, what’s the difference between a stick and an announcement?

    Announcement stays at the top of the blog. Sticky stays at the top of that day’s posts.
