Have you heard about the Name Your Dream Assignment contest, sponsored by Lenovo and Microsoft? To enter you need to submit your dream assignment for a photo shoot that could take place anywhere in the world. All ideas will be voted on by the public and the 20 ideas that receive the most votes will continue on to be judged by a panel of judges. The idea found to be the most creative and inspiring idea will win. The prize is $50,000 cash plus lots of goodies including a Lenovo ThinkPad W700 notebook computer with Microsoft Vista, specially designed for photographers.
Possibly related postsEvery day more and more people are using digital cameras to have fun and preserve memories. Another photo sharing and storage site has thrown it’s hat into the ring - Mypicturetown. This service is sponsored by Nikon. The site is free to join and members have 2gb of storage space, which is pretty nice. You can upgrade how much space you have for an additional fee. The site works much like other photo sites in that you can access your account from any computer with an internet connection, share pictures, post pictures to your blog, create albums and view images in a slideshow. The one downfall I found is that you have to create an account just to look around.
Possibly related postsIt’s great to include pictures on your blog, no matter if they’re personal or related to something you’re writing about. It’s not always possible to take the picture you need yourself, so it’s helpful to have a list of places that offer free photos. Here’s a list of some of the most popular free photo sites.
Here’s a bunch of links I found all over the place for free digital photo prints.
